Workshop JBoss Application Server & Clustering
This half day workshop on JBoss is targeted at Application Server Users who wish to have a overview of JBoss Application Server.
The workshop would cover JBoss Enterprise Application Platform Architecture and clustering. We would also cover a demo on application deployment using JBoss Application Server and Clustering. Also a brief overview about other JBoss services like JBoss portals and hibernate would be covered.
Prerequisites Knowledge of the Windows or Linux (Unix-based) operating system Java & J2ee.

11.30 am to 12.15 pm Introduction to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform. This module gives you an overview into application servers – why are application servers used as part of the enterprise infrastructure, what is a typical server side application might look like, and what are the typical application server scenario. We define JBoss Micro kernel, service oriented architecture A good introduction of JBoss for application server user. 12.15 pm to 1.00 pm Demo Demo of simple application deployments to JBoss application server. Demo of basic hot-deployment, redeployment and undeployment. This section familiarizes you with how applications and services are added and removed to and from the application server, and where different package configuration files are located.
1.00pm to 2.00 pm Lunch Break
2.00pm to 3.30 pm Middleware Clustering. Introduction to concepts and technologies used in the JBoss application server to achieve load-balancing and fail-over functionality.
3.30pm to 4.00pm Overview of other JBoss services – JBoss Portals & Hibernate.
